Part time students face large barriers to post secondary education. Did you know only 2.3 % of part time post secondary student use the Canada Student Loan Program. Most likely because unlike full time students, part time students must pay compound interest payments on their loans during their schooling. As well, loan amounts only account for tuition fees and textbooks and not living expenses. All of these factors increase the barriers to post secondary education and make it extremely difficult for students to even attend post secondary schooling.
