Governing Documents

The Okanagan College Students' Union (OCSU) is an officially registered society, regulated by the BC Society Act. As such we are legally separate from Okanagan College, and operate without interference from the Okanagan College Administration. This is important, because we are sometimes against decisions the administration makes, especially when it comes to tuition fees.

Being a society means that the OCSU has certain legal responsibilities. These are outlined in the BC Society Act, which you can view online here. As a students' union, we are also regulated by the Colleges and Institutes Act. Click here to view this document.

You may notice upon perusal of the Society act that we are required to have a Constitution and Bylaws. These are not presently available online, but they are available in any of our Students' Union offices. Drop by and have a look during our business hours.
