Jordyn Battista
My name is Jordyn Battista, and I am a second-year environment management student. I love the work I did last year with the OCSU and am looking to continue advocating for our student community. I am thrilled to be back on campus and to put on some really great events. If you see me around campus, come and say hi!
Lorreine Stanley
Last year as an elected OCSU rep, I looked to improve services, help create connections through events, and advocated for the tools students needed to succeed in their education. With last year’s students having fewer chances to learn what services and events college provides, I look forward to learning what you need. I hope to make your year go smoothly in your academic endeavors.
Jennifer Gullins
You may have seen me around campus giving out free stuff since I’ve worked with OCSU for years now. This year, I want to focus on creating a strong community on campus by promoting current and new clubs, focus on lobbying the government for an increase in grants, and interest free student loans to make post secondary more accessible. There is much more to do that I can’t wait to start again with the OCSU!
Maxine Cristobal
Hello, I’m Maxine! I’m currently in the International Development program and moved to Kelowna from Toronto just under two years ago. The COVID era that we’re in has been isolating to say the least. That’s why I strive to make the transition of being back to in person class easier for all of us. I want to bring back a sense of community on campus (socially distanced, of course)!
Tobe Francis
Hey! My name is Tobe and this is my second time running for an elected position with your students’ union. I am a 2nd year student of business specializing in marketing. This past year was a rollercoaster, but I can promise you this year will be better. We are here to make your journey through Okanagan College as smooth as possible and if I’m re-elected that promise will stand! Also I love muffins. CHEERS!
Nyah Meller
I am Nyah Meller and am running to be one of this year’s student representatives. If elected, I plan to create an inclusive school community where every voice is heard and matters! I will work on reducing OC’s environmental footprint, and lowering parking pass and textbook expenses. I hope to live up to the expectation of making college the best years of your lives and promote the change you wish to see in our school.
Ashley Robinson
Ashley Robinson is in her final year of the BBA program. Ashley’s core values are respect, trust, fairness, ethics and a positive attitude. These are the values that will guide decision making for the members of the OCSU — if elected. Ashley has always been community orientated and wants to continue that commitment on campus. Ashley would love the opportunity to serve OCSU members for the fourth year in a row.
